Wow, talk about a busy weekend!! My last three days have been filled with the Color Me Rad run which raises money for Special Olympics, grad parties, spontaneous photoshoots, and Mother's Day festivities. And of course I can't forget about The Great Gatsby premier! I've already seen the movie twice in theaters and am halfway through the book. Fitzgerald writes in such a way that makes readers feel like the narrarator is talking directly to them. The origional movie (1974) was a great interpretation of the beloved story line, but the modern spin that was put on this most recent movie is truly genius. The fact that the director can stick to the plot of the book line by line while including music by modern artists like Jay-z and Beyonce.... It left me speechless. I highly recommend both the book and the movie to anybody who has yet to experience this classic romance. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and a happy Mother's Day!
